This was the craziest week for us. As with all crazy weeks in my mission, I will fail to be able to put it into words. Good thing I took a lot of pictures.
It was my birthday. Second birthday running in Argentina where I have recieved cologne as a gift for my birthday. I´m not sure if there´s a hidden message there or not...
We had a Christmas party for half the mission because full mission parties aren´t allowed. We did White Elephant gift trading. President Resek dressed as Santa Claus. Elder Abrams yelled that it was my birthday the day before Tuesday which led to the mission singing me happy birthday. Finished that off with a musical event for the youth of the mission. Good stuff.
Invited a lot of people to be baptized for the New Year per request of President Resek. Met lots of great people, but none of them could make it to church unfortunately. We´ll be keeping in touch with many of them still.
Went to the zoo on Thursday for my birthday (activity planned by my penchmates and hermanas) and that was a lot of fun. The bus driver missed the zoo on our ride out so we ended up walking around Luján a bit. It was part of the plan, but, at the same time, completely unplanned. Great day.
Took a 5 hour round trip to do the baptismal interview for a man in Lobos. When we got there, he didn´t want to come out because he felt sick. Dang it.
Sang in the Christmas choir for the last time in Moreno. We had a great time there.
Christmas eve party with a family that Elder Allen converted in his old area of Ferrari. Lots of fun, fireworks, and food. All good things.
Christmas. Elder Meyers (return missionary) came to visit the ward with his family. Skype with my family. Trying to keep working hard and stay focused. Good Christmas.
Scripture that caught my attention this week was in Moroni 4:3.
3 O God, the Eternal Father, we ask thee in the name of thy Son, Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this bread to the souls of all those who partake of it; that they may eat in remembrance of the body of thy Son, and witness unto thee, O God, the Eternal Father, that they are willing to take upon them the name of thy Son, and always remember him, and keep his commandments which he hath given them, that they may always have his Spirit to be with them. Amen.
It´s the sacrament prayer. I thought about that a good bit becuase I studied it on Sunday after church. Helps me think that we can always get back up and keep trying. That´s a great takeaway especially as we get closer to the New Year. I hope that you all start off the New Year right. Have a great week everyone. Love you guys.
