Week 89 People who got baptized in the mission in February, 93!

Friends and family,

I took lots of pictures, so, as always, that´ll tell the story best. Nonetheless, I´ll give a few highlights so you know what´s going on.

Divisions on Tuesday with Elder Burk and Elder Christensen (the Elder with the huge forehead) went very well. Elder Burk´s a stud, and I had a good time learning from him and helping him with some of his doubts. He´s part of the newer generation of elders that are 10 times better than my group ever was when we were that young.

Wednesday we had a meeting with our Stake High Councilman over missionary work. It was an incredibly productive meeting. I´m hoping that we see fruits from our discussion very soon. We also had interviews with President Resek that day. Mainly talked about the zone and how everyone´s doing. I asked about how to improve my accent. He told me practice speaking spanish with a pencil between my teeth. Apparently that´s how the pros do it. We´ll see how that works out for me.

Thursday was a serious deep cleaning of our pension. That took us a couple of hours. Ate at McDonalds in Merlo and then slept for a few hours. We´re kind of tired here haha. Then back out to work in the afternoon.

Friday we organized breakfast for the zone. That turned out well despite the fact that some people didn´t show up because their cell service is so bad that they never get calls or texts. Had a tiny testimony meeting afterwards. Then we went to Lobos on train (it takes like 2:30 hours to do this. Oy). Did tiny divisions with Elder Andreve and Taylor and got a baptismal interview done for them. Wanted to catch the train back home that night. It left at 20:15. When we showed up to the station at 20:15, one of the security guys said, pointing to us ´´TEXAS, WASHINGTON. We JUST sent that train out! You missed it!´´ Dang it. He was actually really helpful afterwards trying to get us to maybe catch it at the next stop, but it didn´t work out. Spent the night in Lobos on some extra matresses that they have.

Woke up at 4:45 to catch the early morning train. It was freezing. We were in short sleeves. That was tough. Had a nice conversation with some girls who were coming back home from a dance in Marcos Paz. We were about to ask them if they wanted to be baptized before they got off haha. Baptism for the other elders at home. I ended up directing the service and all turned out well. We had 15 people there in total. Lots of hard work.

The mission had 93 people get baptized in this month. That´s a record for us. We´re still trying to break triple digits, and we´re hopeful for the month of March. It was a great week. The scripture of the week would have to be Moroni 7:33. Elder Maller shared it in lunch and I liked it. Enjoy the pictures. Have a great week!
