Week 3 Super strange, that their first impression of the Argentina CCM would be these two random gringos

Well I haven´t needed the umbrella, but I do like wearing my coat. Yes, there are some missionaries here who are going to my mission. My companion, Littlefield, is from Las Vegas and he is 19, going to BS AS Este. We have washers and dryers here and I almost blew one up because I washed one shirt with a stain on it, but they always pour you enough detergent for a full load.... Live and learn I guess. Had to clean suds up in a full suit.

There are only 96 people in the CCM so yeah we see President Benton almost everyday, plus he teaches classes on Sunday. Sundays are chill and we go to classes and Sacrament meeting, and we walk around the temple. The temple is legit, just across the street from here. I can see it very clearly as I write this.

Ok let me break down my week. We tried to have an English fast on Friday. Pretty much crashed and burned. Proselyting was fanstastic. Littlefield talked a ton, almost too much if you ask me, and we were very successful. Placed two Book of Mormons and just had a great time walking around our residential area and talking with people. Yes siesta is a thing here. Some lady was quite upset that we interrupted her midday nap. Just a great time overall.

Oh yeah Friday I got my haircut, and the man will only cut hair one way and only speaks rapid fire Spanish. We talked a bit about the Law of Consecration before my haircut, so I guess I´m consecrating my hair to the Lord. Sunday was uneventful, but we took pictures with all the veteran missionaries who left on Tuesday. That was pretty sad. We all really liked those guys, and I´ll definitely be seeing a good bit of them at BYU.

So we all wrote in each others' journals and now we are the people who have been here for 3 weeks. Also because Littlefield is District Leader, we had to stay up last night to welcome in all the new Latinos who were arriving, and I found it super strange that their first impression of the ARGENTINA CCM would be these two random gringos. Past that it´s all been very good. Missing home but certainly not homesick. Love you guys.

Looks like they won the bet with the sisters.
