Hey Dad!
Thanks so much for that email. I love good quotes.
Last Saturday we went proselyting and we had a super cool experience. We had been told to meet a member at his house around 3 p.m. and when we arrived, he wasn´t there. So instead we decided to go talk to a man who was sitting over by the train station. As we talked with him, we began to get the impression that he wasn´t doing so well. Littlefield read a scripture or two with him and I just remembered that we had a class on praying with people we met, so I asked if we could pray with him. I also asked if he needed anything in his life, and he said that he wished he could have help with work.
I then delivered one of the most interesting prayers I believe I have ever given. Though there is still a significant language barrier, I was able to voice my thanks for all of the beautiful things that God has given us and was also able to ask for help for this man that we had just met--that he would be blessed and find work. It was very spiritual, and as we left him, I hope he felt the spirit as much as we did.
Elder Littlefield taught me how to tie a full windsor and it actually looks pretty dang good, so I think I might be a full windsor guy now. Our new roommates are incredibly cool. Elder Bordolli and Elder Pontón. Both very cool, yet very different. Bordolli is tall, happy go lucky, and just a very fun person. Pontón is short, quiet, but incredibly spiritual and a fantastic addition to our room. I love them to death. And they actually talk to us!
It´s so great here even though for Monday and Tuesday I wasn´t feeling very elated to be here, but I got over it and it´s super great now.
Con cariño,
-Elder Sultan
