Week 31 New Companion, Elder Salmon

For great friends and my beautiful family,

This week flew by. I`m pretty sure taking care of an area and trying to make sure that we always have somewhere to go has made me really tired. Good thing my new companion, Elder Salmon, is super good at talking to just about everyone. A little about him: He`s from Alabama (yes one of the first things he said to me when we met was Roll Tide), He loves football, He has been out 14 months, and he has 7 brothers and 1 sister (she`s the youngest).

I honestly can`t say much of what happened this week. The balance in the pension has changed a ton because now there are 3 Yankees and Elder Meyers (Elder Benitez`s new comp) and Elder Salmon both say that I speak better than them. It`s been fun to be able to speak in English again.

Elder Salmon is really good at talking with everyone so we talk with everyone. Even though he doesn`t really have an accent, he`s not afraid to just walk up to people and start talking. It`s been pretty awkward sometimes, but it generally turns out really well. We`ve been having a lot of fun just talking with everyone.

Interesting moments from my week:

In the fruit stand-
``Wow you`re really tall!`` -Argentine Girl
``Yeah I`m tall`` -Elder Salmon

In the collectivo (public bus system)-
Elder Salmon starts talking to the girl in front of us.
After a while, she gestures to me and says to Elder Salmon (I hope as a joke)- ``You want to lend him to me and I`ll take him?`` Ummmmmm...
Thankfully she got off at the next stop.

Currently living in the apartment in General Rodriguez, Elder Meyers. Elder Salmon, Elder Benitez, Elder Sultan
